Half Lira
The Ottoman Gold Coin, often referred to as the ‘Lira’, is the most used gold coin in the Middle East. A coin that carries a deep and rich history from the reign of Abdul Hamid II and Muhammad V in 1909 AD/ 1327 AH. The obverse design depicts the symbol of the Ottoman Sultanate, and the reverse design carries an inscription that reads “May he be victorious”.

The Half Lira is the second size of the 4 different Lira sizes. A smaller and simpler version of the Full Lira, but it still embodies the prestige and the recognised beauty of the Lira for less.
